My name is Rob Davis, pastor of
Grace Community Bible Church. We are a new church in Highland,
Illinois, which is in the metro-east area of St. Louis.
Let me tell you just a few of the things that are important to me:
God's Sovereign Grace
God's sovereignty in all things, His unfathomable grace, and His passion for His own glory drive every aspect of my life and ministry. My desire is to see every Christian I know delivered from a man-centered way of thinking/living and to be set free to worship, minister, and evangelize from a God-centered worldview.
Preaching
I am passionate about grace-filled, Christ centered, expository preaching! My usual approach to preaching in our services is a verse-by-verse exposition of biblical books. My task is to explain the text's original meaning in its biblical and historical context, and then bridge the gap of time by illustrating and applying the truths of the text to our lives today.
Body Life
One of the greatest joys in ministry is to see people use their giftings to build up and encourage the body of Christ for the glory of God. I am intentional about fostering intimate, caring relationships at Grace Community through our small group and mentoring/discipleship ministries. We are active in bearing one another's burdens, obeying the "one anothers" of Scripture, and discipling each other with Scripture.
